Tool Talk: "Into the Wild" March 26 at 6 PM
Together with Monopole, we're turning the MONoPOLE-Shop at Zollstrasse 117, 8005 Zurich into a basecamp! Join us as we dissolve the line between urban cargo and wilderness gear.
Under the title "Into the Wild," we show the diverse forms adventure can take: from ultralight solo setups to fully loaded cargo bikes. It's not just about products, but about ideas, stories, and first-hand experiences.
The Program:
- The Bikes: Launch of the Batticuore x MONoPOLE Rental Edition (custom builds, available for rent from April on batticuore.ch)
- The Gear: Fabian from APER showcases the development behind the ultralight Apex 1 tent.
-
The Journey: Adam Wilkoszarski is live on-site after his 1,000km ride with the Monopole from Poland to Zurich.
Additionally, there will be trail cooking from a gas stove, cool drinks, and honest road stories.

The Bikes – Cargo Bikepacking redefined
At Tool Talk, we're unveiling the Batticuore x MONoPOLE Rental Edition for the first time – two new custom bikes specifically developed for cargo bikepacking.
The two MONoPOLE custom builds are equipped with 9-speed Pinion drivetrains and will expand the Batticuore rental fleet from mid-April 2026. They can be rented exclusively via batticuore.ch.
This collaboration showcases a different side of bikepacking: alongside fast gravel setups, the focus here is on being on the road with easy storage. Cargo bikepacking isn't just about more luggage; it offers space for new ideas for life on the go.
The colors, features, and details of the bikes will only be revealed at the event – the Tool Talk is the official launch of this special Rental Edition.
The Gear – Behind the Scenes of the Apex 1 Tent
Ultralight equipment is not created on the drawing board alone. Fabian Furrer from APER offers insights into the development of the Apex 1 – an uncompromisingly lightweight solo tent for bikepacking and minimalist tours.
Using prototypes and developmental stages, he demonstrates how an idea becomes a functional product: from initial sketches and material decisions to the final construction.
The Apex 1 has been specifically developed for bikepacking – light enough for long distances and robust enough for real tours.
If you'd like to learn more about the tent, you can find initial insights here:

At the event, you'll have the opportunity to view the tent up close and speak directly with the developer.

The Journey – 1,000 km to Zurich
For the Tool Talk, Adam Wilkoszarski will travel directly by bike – from Poland to Zurich.
The photographer from Poznań has been documenting places where the lines between public and private spaces blur for years. His works explore landscapes and places that change when people disappear and peace returns.
For the event, he will travel approximately 1,000 km with his MONoPOLE Bike, across Europe to Zurich.
Adam will report live from his journey, his setup, and what it's like to travel long distances alone. His experiences reveal a calm and very personal side of bikepacking – reduced to the essentials.
