Yes. You can also rent Restrap bikepacking bags from Batticuore without a rental bike. This is ideal if you already own a gravel bike or touring bike and only need the right luggage for a trip.
Basically yes, provided the bike or luggage has not already been re-rented after your booking. Contact us as early as possible if you want to extend your rental.
Bike Selection and Equipment
The right size depends on your height, riding style and experience. You can find guidelines on body size on the rental bike pages. If you are between two sizes, please write to us briefly - we will help you choose.
For classic bikepacking tours and longer distances, we recommend a gravel bike with light or full packing. For more athletic routes or rougher terrain, an MTB setup is more suitable.
With our cargo setups, you have the option to load more and more easily. For everyday use, city riding, and short trips, an urban setup can also be sensible.
Yes. Our rental bikes are checked and made ready for riding before handover. Depending on the chosen option, you will receive the bike without luggage, with light packing, or with full packing.
The basic version includes the bike with essential equipment for the ride (lock, light, puncture repair kit, inner tube and tool). Light packing is suitable for short trips, overnighters or light travel. Full packing offers significantly more storage space for longer tours, holidays or setups with sleeping bag, clothes and additional equipment.
In many cases, yes, but not always. Key factors are frame shape, frame size, tire clearance, fork eyelets, seat post, and handlebar width. If you send us a photo of your bike and your frame size in advance, we can better assess which setup will fit. Alternatively, you can drop by on a Wednesday between 5-7 PM and try it out. Contact us beforehand to check if "your" bike is available.
A helmet is not automatically part of every rental setup. Please bring your own helmet or ask us in advance if we can offer a suitable solution for your booking. We always have 1-2 helmets available (cost CHF 5 per day).
The bikes can be equipped with either flats or Shimano SPDs. Please let us know which pedals you prefer.
If you have a different system, it's best to bring your own pedals.
Damage, Breakdowns & Insurance
Minor mishaps like a flat tire are part of bikepacking. We always include a patch kit and spare tubes. For larger problems, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can find the best solution together.
You are responsible for the bike and rented equipment for the duration of the rental period. Normal wear and tear is not a problem. Damages, loss, or heavy wear will be charged based on cost.
In case of theft, the incident must be reported immediately to the police and Batticuore informed. The rental bike must be carefully secured and locked during the rental period. The rental conditions and the agreed deductible apply to loss or theft.
