Flinc Cycles

A vision born from a film

It all began with a magical movie scene in the 1980s: a little boy on a bicycle, a transport box, and a feeling of boundless freedom. For Markus Freitag, founder of the Swiss bicycle brand FLINC, seeing ET in the cinema was more than an ordinary experience – it was the genesis of an idea that would stay with him throughout his life. Decades later, he realized this childhood dream.

From idea to reality
Markus' vision was clear: to develop a bike that was compact, functional, and perfect for urban spaces. About four years ago, he and a small team began implementing it. The result? FLINC – a bike that hit the streets in spring 2024. With its striking pink transport box, both practical and a real eye-catcher, FLINC stands out from the crowd. The design is reminiscent of the lightness of a BMX bike, complemented by the functionality of a modern means of transportation.

One team, one mission
Behind FLINC stands a dedicated team that shares a shared vision: Markus as the creative mind, Céline as the organizational backbone, Lara as a communications professional, and Ivo, who brings technical perfection to product development. Together, they pursue one goal: to offer people a smart and environmentally friendly alternative for inner-city transport.

An alternative for the future
FLINC isn't just a bicycle—it's a response to the challenges of modern cities. It combines practical mobility with an environmentally conscious approach. The striking pink box symbolizes more than just functionality: It represents a more colorful, creative urban landscape.

Markus Freitag has managed to turn a childhood dream into an innovative solution for urban space. FLINC shows that even the wildest childhood ideas can eventually become reality – with enough passion, persistence, and a good team.
